The DAMION Investigations module is designed for use by the defender's Investigation staff. Although it is tightly integrated with the DAMION Defender module, and as such, provides support for defenders preparing cases for trial, this module also acts as an independent investigative tool for internal investigations.

The Officer of the Day Log allows the investigative staff to track information they received from phone calls, personal contact or through the mail.
Each Officer of the Day Log represents a single contact with a date and time stamp as well as the investigator's name and/or badge number automatically entered. If known, the name of the reporting party and subject can be entered and these names are attached through integration with the General Person Lookup System.
The Trial Preparation function provides support for the services an attorney needs to defend a case. It is linked to the DAMION Defender module and allows a supervising investigator to review and assign requests as they are received from a defender.
From the DAMION Defender module, the public defender's office can enter requests for services from the investigators. When a request is entered and saved, an Investigator Case is automatically created in the Investigations Module.

- The ability to secure sensitive information giving access only to those individuals with the appropriate security clearance
- The ability to assign a weight factor to a case
- The ability to create a Criminal case from an Investigation case
