"The Monroe County District Attorney's Office has been using DAMION since May 2000. One of the highlights of this system is that we can automatically load bookings from the police system into DAMION. This has significantly reduced the amount of data entry required when opening new cases.
In addition, using the Ad Hoc reporting feature and other methods, we can develop our own reports as the need arises.
Finally, the integrated document generation component allows data to be extracted from DAMION and formatted into document templates to produce the various standard legal documents required in the prosecution of a defendant. The system also allows us to revise documents when needed without having to "call in the IT experts!"
Other benefits we have found in using Constellation's DAMION system include the ease with which additional PC's can be added to the network, and the fact that it is available on all PC's office-wide. Its incorporation into our office environment has also forced us to standardize many of our internal procedures, and has resulted in the centralization of all of our data storage systems, changes that were long overdue."
